A Mom’s Perspective

Tucker – I am the proud mother of a Paralympic swimmer whose focus is on his abilities not his disabilities.  What a journey this has been.  When you woke up that morning to get ready for school and couldn’t see clear out of one of your eyes, it has changes our lives forever.  You’re an inspiration to our family and others.  Swimming has been a lifesaver for you.  When you get into the pool your focus is on the goals that you want to achieve.  Stroke after stroke, lap after lap, and competition after competition has given you an experience of a life time.  A mother’s heart sings when her child is happy!!  I am on my way toLondonsoon to support you on your quest for gold and what a way to represent your country.  You have overcome challenges that are put before you and worked hard to achieve your goals.  I love you Tucker so take some deep breathes, believe in your heart, and swim fast!!!  MOM (Marlene Dupree)

Hi Tucker’s Mum – I’m sure you won’t remember us, we got chatting whilst walking to the train station after Tucker won his bronze :-) He had given you the bunch of flowers and you let us smell them. I was in a sequin Union Jack dress. Anyway, we just wanted to congratulate you again – you were glowing with pride! We are so pleased that you enjoyed visiting our country. We hope you and your family had an easy, safe, journey home. Very best wishes, Heather Greenaway & family
