London Bound

London BoundThis past weekend was the 2012 Paralympic Time Trials held at Bismarck State College in beautiful North Dakota. When I arrived in ND, I was greeted by my mother, which was a surprise as I was not expecting my family members to make the trip. I competed in the 100 Meter Backstroke with a final time of 1:03.51, the 50 Meter Freestyle with a final time of 24.56, the 100 Meter Butterfly with a time of 1:00.07 and the 100 Meter Freestyle with a final time of 54.67. I set a new American Record in the 50 Meter Freestyle. I also competed in the 400 Meter Medley Relay team along with Blake Adams, Bradley Snyder and Tharon Drake and set a new American Record with a time of 4:33.79. Sunday at 10am, all the athlete and family members gathered together as the 2012 London Team was announced. There will be 20 female and 14 male representing the USA in London come August. I am very excited to able to be representing the USA in London and plan on bringing home gold.
