Friday, October 8 – Swimming World Disability Swimming Service Award Nominee

Each year Swimming World magazine recognizes significant contributions made by individuals or group of swimmers with a disability in USA Swimming programs or in the sport of swimming.

The Swimming World Disability Swimming Service Awards are selected by their staff writers and reporters who have developed a true understanding of the nuances of disability swimming such as classification, alterations to technique and training methods, and both inclusive and disability‐specific events.

Tucker Dupree received a nomination for the 2010 Trischa L. Zorn Award, which recognizes a swimmer with a disability for their outstanding performances during the previous year. The award is named in honor of Trischa L. Zorn, an American swimmer blind from birth who is the most decorated Paralympic athlete of all time in any sport with 32 gold, 9 silver, and 5 bronze medals.
